I don't know what it is about the Seus animations that makes me feel somewhat at home. I didn't even really grow up watching them, but something about the muted colors and alien landscapes brings a sense of comfort. Almost the same way that the early Simpsons episodes made me feel, it's hard to pin down exactly what I mean. It's as if I could pick a still from any moment in this video and imagine myself living there forever.

Maybe it's nostalgia or just a fondness for the old ways of animation. Either way I'd love to just spend a day in the universe of Doctor Seus.

I honestly believe 2016 was my peak of like...happiness & health. I look back now and realize that I was just experiencing a lot of great "firsts" back then. First "adult" job making good money, first apartment with a friend. It was also the first time I really let the internet be my ENTIRE source of new music after living years with an iPod. That really isolates you and weirdly some generations will never understand that particular era.

That being said, it was in 2016 that this gem dropped and I'll constantly come back to it. It's pure nostalgia and I eat that shit up. Try to enjoy the now, folks. Sometimes we don't know when we're in the "good times".
