I don’t understand why he discounts the man’s role. “You only know your job.” Yeah, and that’s a lot. Doctors, lawyers, engineers, business owners, plumbers, scientists, etc.—they have to know a lot about their job to be effective and to provide for the family. Everyone plays a role in the family. I don't know about all you city people, but I do way more than go to my day job and then come home. I also handle the landscaping of three acres around the house, maintain the fruit orchard, maintain the home's mechanicals and exterior, maintain the vehicles and tractors, care for the cows, cut bale and stack hay, cut split and stack the firewood and handle all the business matters including bills. I also hunt / harvest the meat in our freezer and, if we need a shed, coup or barn, I fell the logs, saw the lumber and do the building.

She takes care of the kids which includes home schooling, cleaning, maintains the garden / greenhouse and cooks / preserves our food. She also comes help me whenever she has the chance cause we're a team.

If Steve is a slacker... and it appears that he is... then thats on him. He doesn't speak for all men.

He ain’t wrong tho. Call me sexist but my wife handles majority of the house stuff cause she has a finer attention to detail and I do not have that. We ain’t created equal. If we were then I’d have no reason to have a wife.
