Fuel of the future': Gulf states bet on 'green' hydrogen

Gulf Arab states like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman, previously reliant on fossil fuels, are now turning to "green" hydrogen to transform their economies and combat the climate crisis. They're investing in this eco-friendly fuel as an alternative to oil and gas, even though its widespread use is not yet practical due to limited production and the need for increased renewable energy sources, which might take years to scale up.
