Misery in iPhone's Mail App: Bulk Deleting Emails in iOS 10 / 11 / 12 — Will iOS 13 Fix This?

It Takes Over 5 Minutes to Delete 450 Emails

Apple removed the "Trash All" option in iOS 10, and it never came back in iOS 11 or iOS 12 for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Even with this feature, however, it wasn't good enough. We'd like to see "Trash All" come back in iOS 13, but we want more than just that.

When you're trying to tidy of your mailbox, getting rid of emails from specific companies like Groupon or LivingSocial that pile up in your inbox, it would be nice if you could search for "Groupon" or "LivingSocial" and just "Trash All" them. Or, even just "Mark All" so you can "Trash" them.

As of right now, as you can see from this painfully long video, it takes over 5 minutes to delete 450 emails from Groupon. That's insane. Apple, give us better options! It can't be that hard. It would take mere seconds to do this with the right option.

Here’s how you do it.
1. Inbox- edit
2. Click first mail, then
3. Hold Move button and unclick the mail while you are still holding the move button
4. Click mark all
5. Trash/junk the mails

Yeah, we know it sucks. So what should we do? Oh I got it. Just through your apple products in the trash along with your Microsoft products then you don't have to worry about any of it.. Smart. I guess.
