How can some people consider themselves PF fans and not like this album? How can people care only for vocals? Yes, for Pink Floyd vocals meant poetry and it sent a message but this album is about good byes and most important, the true message is that WORDS are not enough to express what we're feeling and to describe life. "It's louder than words, this thing that we do", sounds familiar? Art is beyond words, that's why we only have instrumentals in this album, it's part of the metaphor. Greatest music masterpieces of all time, and I'm referring mostly to classical music, don't have lyrics. Music without lyrics is more profound and personal, it paints a feeling but does not describe it; it leaves it open to the imagination. "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Endless River" are my favorite albums. Dark Side is the young brooding philosopher who contemplates life with angst. The Endless river is like the same person but only much older now. This older person finally accepted life and maybe even understood it for what it is.

The Endless River is high up there for me, I don’t understand the complaints about it having no lyrics because I love instrumentals & I just love the fact that I can interpret feeling and emotions without the lyrics pulling me into an idea. I love this.

68 years old--69 next month. I have been a fan of Pink Floyd since I was 19. I first saw them in concert at Vanderbilt Stadium 1994 Division Bell. I saw Roger Waters-The Wall, in Nashville, TN June 2012

This album is for true FLOYD fans. And i am a fan !!! I am extremely lucky to have been able to appreciate and acknowledge this band over the decades. This album encapsulates their later sounds. There will be no other greater writers about lovely life. As this dark cloud comes over us. Delivered from the super rich....people who have no love in their hearts - money and wealth is not enough. They want your soul too. Please wake up people. Look after your neighbours and show a bit of old fashioned love. (should not be old fashioned) but we been brainwashed to choose MONEY as our god. Don't let these machine people win. with machine hearts and machine minds. They the devil in disguise. yesterdays conspiracy theories are todays truths

People hating this album for being boring, for not having vocals, or that call it ambient music FAIL to realize that this is an album made for Rick Wright's ears. Mostly because many of these tracks were composed by him and very much he would like them to be: just music without lyrics eclipsing it.

This is probably one of the best ambient albums out there.

I listen to this a lot. It's What We Do puts it very nicely. Rick's massive soundscapes on keyboards, Dave's soulful guitar in response, Nick bringing in what is needed on drums: all breathtaking in scope, and intensely moving. This is the rock band that makes me cry with a chord change. To me, that's what they did. They were always at their best when they worked together. Roger is a stunning wordsmith and creative force, there is no denying it. Is it a pity though that he lost the recognition that what made the Floyd special was more than the words. No disrespect intended, but it was so much more than one man's mouthpiece.

To me this album is the just way of how Pink Floyd would want to go out, not with any more political vocals, no more melancholy, just a way to say goodbye, here’s one more query into space and time, it’s been a fun ride but you can always find me here saying my goodbyes on the endless river

What is the age of the average listener?

I am 62 and going back to 18!

This music is bliss like hearing Dark Side of the Moon for the first time.
