Показать описание
After you change the oil in your 5th generation Toyota 4Runner, you still need to reset the oil maintenance reminder, or it will keep pestering you! This video will show you how to perform the oil life reset on 4Runners equipped with the push button start feature.
To reset, turn the vehicle on (without starting the engine) by pressing the "Engine Start Stop" button twice without your foot on the brake. With the vehicle now on, scroll through the options with the trip button until you reach "Trip A". Now, press the "Engine Start Stop" button again to turn the vehicle off. With the vehicle off, press and hold the trip button with one hand, and with the other, press the "Engine Start Stop" button two times again. The "Resetting of Oil Maintenance Data" screen should display with a progress/timer bar. Continue holding the trip button until this screen goes away. Start up the vehicle normally to confirm the oil maintenance required alert is gone, and you're done!
