What people fail to take into account is each fighter's personality, which is why the fight ended ambiguously. SCP-682's goal is to make humans suffer as much as possible, and the best way to make Saitama suffer is by denying him a fight. This isn't the first time SCP-682 has made an exception for allowing a humanoid entity to live unharmed in his presence, and Saitama would probably fit into that category of exceptions. The most spiteful thing SCP-682 can do to Saitama is to literally deny him a fight.

People not realizing how far 682 lore goes. He survived being written out of existence. In canon, the very physical, spiritual, even linguistic aspects of his existence were erased. He still came back. He's written to be an absolute, permanent aspect of fiction. Like it or not 682 wins or ties every fictional character anyone could ever point out or invent. He's saitama's character except taken to it's fictional maximum
