I'm 17. I grew up under Obama, but came of age under Trump. I've never really known a political world that didn't have trump in the forefront, either as president or as the center of the news. This is making me feel so grateful and happy for the first time in my political life, and I genuinely feel patriotic lol

Walz is a gunowner and hunter which plays really well to libertarians and undermines the whole "Dems are trying to take your guns!" hysteria.

Kamala is making her campaign about JOY. And Walz fits right in. I have never seen this before. Closest thing was Obama with hope in 2008. We all need joy. It was joyous when Biden stepped aside. She's the embodiment of the joy that we've all been missing. She laughs. She smiles. Her campaign is the antithesis of Trump's. It's so friggin refreshing.

Minnesota high school student here. Having free (and somewhat quality) school lunch now has been great. If it was a day I couldn’t pack any lunch before having free lunch i would just have no energy for the day. But now I don’t have to worry about it. And Hearing republicans argue against it is just very infuriating.

My dad's a staunch conservative and he said he's voting for Harris just cause Walz exuded this 'joyful' energy. I hope they continue to capitalize on that!

I liked Obama a lot and voted for him twice. He was the first presidential candidate I was remotely excited to vote for.

I'm delighted to vote for Harris. Like, I am impractically giddy about her.

And since she added Walz, I'm happy. Happy!

Walz's response when asked about being too progressive on some news channel was perfect. "Children's bellies are full so they can go learn, what a monster." I'm so excited to have someone in office that feels like all of the best teachers I've ever had rolled up into one genuinely nice, witty person

What really sent Mom into absolute contempt for Ronald Reagan was when he called ketchup a vegetable and rolled back funding for school lunches. (She grew up with frequently hungry)
Mom learned the lesson of the Great Depression, which was to prosper by taking care of one another. She'd approve of Tim Walz.

In California, as a Republican, I never voted for the Republican Attorney General. The party couldn't help but to offer a total nutjob for that office every election cycle.

I've voted for VP Harris before and will do it again.

He has a FARM background. I think an understanding of farming and farmers is an important voice to bring to Washington in this time of Climate Change, because food growers will help us figure it out.

I think he plays well for moderates! Anecdotally, my parents said the Walz pick clinches their vote for Harris. Although they voted third party instead of voting for trump, she will be the first Democrat either of them has ever voted for.

My husband works for the AG and directly across from Walz’s office. We’ve seen him regularly at functions as I’m also in law in town. He is genuinely just such a kind human. Truly one of the sweetest men I’ve ever met celebrity, politician, or otherwise.
