Admit it: when he said that after giving you permission to fight back, that was the most badass echo ever.

I prefer this to Daredevil, because of the moment it symbolizes. A penal unit, a unit whose fighters never worked together, now come together as one so that they can survive. It starts out for selfish reasons. Each one wants to live, best way to do that? Work together. Then...as the fight goes on, those reasons turn to selfless. "I won't let you hurt my comrades!" and soon...that to changes. "I will not let you hurt my friends!"

The guitar bit at 0:47 that immediately transitions into the game’s main leitmotif is A+ musical direction in my book. Spare Squadron was becoming more and more like a real team all leading up to that great moment of everyone forming up on Trigger. The guitar lick feels indicative of the 444th scenes and levels early on, and the transition to the main theme which had showed up in nearly level before Trigger’s court martial, now returning as they’re acting like a legit unit and about to be recognized as such in the storyline is just perfect and one reason why I love Ace Combat. It has so much heart.

I really like this track, I think this might be one of the hellish situations for a fighter pilot ever.
You can't tell friend from foe, massive barely predictable airburst missiles are raining all over, your AWACS couldn't care less if you live or not. The first part of the song reflects that hopelessness, the guitar and voice kinda give you a sense of "why bother, it's impossible".
But the Spare squadron is not gonna give up that easily, especially Trigger and Count, and that's when the main leitmotif comes in, suddenly their determination inspires everyone else in the squadron, including Banddog (who is planning on killing one of them ;) ) to thinking they might just make it out. Through sheer motivation and teamwork they escape hell together.

Would be cool to know what the fuck he's saying... Pretty cool moment tho, was semi-disappointing we left spare squadron the following mission. And just when I thought this was the turning point where some sort of camaraderie was being formed between bandog, trigger, and the other cons. I mean this track pretty much symbolizes, or at the very least alludes to that. But hey! The LRSSG wasn't half bad either.
