CHATTY GRWM: is breastfeeding over? child care? career goals? and life catch up

Fam, let's have a little mini therapy session today as I get ready. It's a chatty grwm and it's so nice to spill my thoughts and verbalize how I've been feeling these days. We chat if my breastfeeding time with London is over and I can only guess you have question reading that but I'll explain all of that so don't worry. Not only are we chatting motherhood we're diving into my career goals and how I've had to adjust life after my second baby. In general, this is a life catch up but I love to share these real, vulnerable moments with you because I know a lot of your are on the motherhood journey too.

Im not a content creator but I feel like the 1-2 kids transition makes you superrr re-prioritize work life. I am just not as motivated as I was pre kids! I feel the hamster wheel 100%!

I have always loved just your easy going, day in the life content the most. So I feel like if that’s the direction you are pulled in, it will be amazing 🤩

So can relate, just left my full-time job to pursue my side business and spend more time with my two year-old and totally understand, finding the balance between working and your children, especially when you are your own boss. But I keep reminding myself that my little guy won’t be this little and need me so much forever and these are a few short years. Don’t think you are failing if sometimes you are just doing the bare minimum of what you have to do!

My older 2 kids were 18 months apart and it was hard. You don’t have to quit breast feeding at a certain months but def pumping more and switching to a breastfeeding via bottles will make easier to help with Ethan or babysitter to help out if you want to work more. Mom guilt is tough to juggle. But you are exactly where you need to be and just trust yourself ❤ you are doing great ❤❤❤ sending hugs!

My son is 1 1/2 and I still nurse him for comfort. It’s so hard to wean or stop. It’s really emotional 😢

Coming from a 5mPP mom of 2 as well…I understand your points on the breastfeeding, but it looks like we’re going thru another formula shortage. The stores have been out of many brands for a few weeks now. It may not be the best time to stop right now. If you can push a few more months out at least until we stop seeing the effects of the port strike I think formula will be back in full stock. My 5m old gets very distracted too and if anyone or I talk while he nurses he stops and looks around and so it takes awhile to nurse him too but these moments don’t last forever

I’m not a content creator but SHEESH do I relate to this so much. You said “hamster wheel” and my brain lit up like a Christmas tree! That’s exactly how I have been feeling lately. Thank you for putting this out there!! Being a working mom is so hard sometimes.
