I don't understand why people think you can't have both church and a relationship with God. In fact, going to church is like going to tell Jesus you love him, and also having a relationship with him at every thought or moment after Loving Jesus is not just about 'warm and fuzzies' but real charity and sacrifice, is TRUE love. God is giving himself to us, why can't we do the same and handle church 1 hour a week even if it bores us?

I don't understand why people don't like the Catholic church. The church is so awesome. Especially the TLM or byzantine. The art, stain glass windows, the heirarchy of leadership, the gregorian chants or hymns, the tradition, the liturgy of the hours prayers, the reverance. The bible even mentions the church. Also why can't we have both church and a relationship with God? In fact, both are neccessary to loving God and to throw away one or the other is foolish.

'Real love' = charity and sacrifice. If you're not willing to sacrifice 1 hour of mass every week, how can you say you love God or even want his love? If a mother says she loves her kids, but doesn't make the sacrifice to cook or teach them important stuff, is that 'real love?' Jesus said keep holy the sabbath day, and if you don't keep his commandments, you don't really love him. Bible says that.
