Plot twist: Ari is a StockX employee trying to promote their good authentication service

They put them under a black light. That helps seeing the blood from the child that made it. That’s how they know they’re authentic.

Stockx prob automatically alerts their authenticators to look more closely at the first shoe sent in from a fresh account

So in my experience, the biggest tell is always the little things like the boxes and laces and little plastic bags they put laces in. What you should do is put the reps in a genuine box with genuine accessories and let the sneakers stand on their own. Test out the quality of sneakers and don’t let a box do you in.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me If there's some sort of watermark or hidden security feature that shoe manufacturers tell people like StockX about. It's in their best interest to help them.

The fact you really can't tell if a shoe is fake unless you hyper analyze it for 10 minutes just proves fakes is the way to go

Would be cool to see one fake shoe and one real shoe in a box. In theory someone could sell two pairs if they managed to pass with only 1 real shoe in the box and double their profit

This video made me realize why I stopped being a sneaker head and literally have stopped buying shoes unless I actually need it . And if I do buy, it’ll be a steal from the thrift store

Ari, no matter how good the fake is, if they bust out a black light and there’s a stamp on the box or on the shoe, it’s an automatic fail. You should see if your shoes have a stamp on them because that’s a dead giveaway bro.

Are they really even fakes anymore if they’re the same quality 💀

I lived in China for a number of years and most of the stuff I bought was from knock-off markets. You quickly learned that some of the stuff was garbage but that other stuff clearly just 'fell off' the same assembly line as the real deal. In other words, they're not really fakes at all.

StockX checks the boxes for differences or flaws. You put a sticker inside the box, in a place where it couldn’t have been accidentally stuck. They probably rejected that pair as soon as they unfolded the box before inspecting the shoes. Also, the shoes won’t have the proper weight, unless the fakes had the same sole construction and bonding as the real pair. If they were the same weight and there was no sticker in the box, they would’ve passed. You made it so easy they didn’t even have to inspect anything further than the first two steps.

I like this dedication to doing it properly and actually trying to get them to pass

I like how everyone talks about what he did wrong… or UV lights, etc…. And no one has said… damn, StockX is good… cuz they are.

Honestly, being a casual, if I see a pair of almost exactly-replicated Yeezys or Jordan 1s for like 1/3 of the price, I don't understand why I shouldn't buy it

I mean, if the shoes need to be inspected that close, I don’t think it matters as much depending on the situation. If you’re trying to actually buy the legit ones, yes it’s important, but if you wanna wear those shoes, reps aren’t gonna be noticed in the wild. No one is gonna look at your feet and say “hey, the stitching is slightly off” or “hey the Nike check is slightly lower by .002 millimeters”

eBay will 100% pass anything you send them. They’ve authenticated an entirely different shoe than what I ordered before. Can’t wait for that video.

Insole stitching and the insole itself is the only way you can effectively check reps now. Unless it's a poor rep there are other things you can check.
