peak power is nothing / it's marketing Bullshit - RMS power calculated at 8ohms from 20hz-20khz with less than 0.1%THD is the real way

The drivers from the Devialet gold won't survive to more than 200W RMS
- im sure it is loud for it's size, but don't try to foul u with marketing BS.
tnx

What a pile of marketing bull***t... Analogue amplifiers generate more noise and distortion??? It's contradictory statement because they are using a class A analogue amplifier inside of these speakers. "Digital" amplifiers (Class D) are ALREADY miniaturized by their design because of the fact that they are so efficient.
OK, they are (or were) trying to accomplish something good here, I'll give them that. I like the DAC technology they're using, the quality of components and the quality of sound that these produce. They are not to be mixed or compared with proper HiFi speaker systems even though they are priced as such. They are, simply, a show-off item, just like that "I'm rich" application for smartphones.
Looks to me like someone with great ideas and the knowledge about electronics and sound started this project with the goal to produce something with quality and reasonable price, but then, someone from marketing division took over and made it "flashy" with golden accents (not to mention ugly), "tweaked" the specifications (which sound like they are describing a high tech microwave rather than speakers), and, finally, put the price so high, that only those with fat wallets can afford these monstrosities only to show that they can afford them.
I would never even consider buying these even if the price drops by a factor of 10. Simply too much compromises were made here to make them comparable to Dynaudio, Focal or any other established speaker manufacturers.

Can this thing replace wedding speakers? Can you pair 2 of them at the same time?

So will this out perform the CIC High Wycombe JBL THX screen then?

Pure marketing bullshit . 4.5k watts is not true .And the db level versus the SQ level is not balanced

If you get two you also need something to pair the two as left and right????

I always get suspicious when someone tells we a system comes with X Watt without telling me something of the efficiency of the loudspeakers.
The best system I heard up to now had 2 x15 Watts and veeeery big loudspeakers and it did not look particularly pretty. But the
So a small gold an cream coloured system with a gazillion watts, a Brand Ambassador and a French brand name presented by Brits.... dunno ...
I might be convinced by hearing it and I'll apologize, but until then

comment section resume for those who dont want to scroll:
"i cant afford it so i´ll say its numbers are fake"
"a group of specialists spent 10 years developing the technology to get this amount of power for something this compact, but because i didnt knew there was technology capable of doing it, i wont believe what they are claiming.
for those who are considering buying it, i am a pro-guitarrist, and the amp i like to use is my line 6 firehawk 1500, it is a guitar amo with 1, 500 watts, and it is an absolute monster, when we gig in front of 200 hundred 250 people i have it in volume 6/10 and it is more than enough, my second guitarrist, works at local music store, and they have isolated rooms to prove then equipmen, and we tryied the phantom gold, nex to me playing the guitar with my amp, at full blast, and i could not hear the guitar, it was only the phantom taking over, it is a mad beast.

OK. So our computers, tv's, mp3 players output digital signal. I wonder how they manage to get analog (pure) signal out of digital? Seems fishy to me. Lets talk about simple sine wave. Analog signal is perfectly shaped sine wave without any distortions in its pure mathematical form at any time, digital sine wave signal is made by "cutting" analog sine wave into a lot of layers and "reading" average value at that moment so for a short time (depends how much times we "cut" our signal) our signal level is the same that's why for eg. mp3 files has its rate, higher the rate, the more "layers" created from analog signal = the better quality. Our signal becomes like made of a stairs and distorted. Same with photos: you can not make higher quality photo from a shitty photo (lets not discuss about editing and drawing the missing things), but you can make shitty photo by down scaling it.

3000$ is total bullshit. Lets play 8kbps mp3 through this and u will see how shitty 3000$ sounds.
Wattage fake too. Ever heard true 500W, 1000W speaker?
Should be 100-200W or less... 4500w almost could turn off your house's circuit braker.

He is not an expert, at least not in audio.

my question is how many of you people making comments have any kind of degrees in electronics because the people who have degrees in electronics for audiophiles would know exactly what the person is talking about when they're talking about this speaker and when they would know the pros and cons but it seems like some of you are just guessing because you are just people who like speakers.

Hei "expert" there is NO DIGITAL amplificqtion. It is "class D" and it's a different thing.

4.5kW is more power than your electric oven at max power or water heater pulls
that's more power than a couple of 18" subwoofers at a concert uses
obvious bullshit rating so don't believe it

I'm also pretty sure that not one of you were talking about the wattage of ever put an amplifier for speakers up to a meter that measures such things I have I have tested speakers and amplifiers and know that when a speaker says that they can do a certain amount of wattage is either It can or can't so first of all which one of you knows exactly what machine measures RMS wattage I bet not one of you do

LordRa

I have made speakers and I have made amplifiers and I also have a degree in computer and electronic engineering so I know that some of the statements that some of you are making are just really stupid

Fake 4500 watts. Marketing fake numbers he said peak power not rms so its like those watts 12v dc car amps for 80 bucks they sell online.

jalee

this doesn't explain anything.
also there's no such thing as analog or digital amplifiers. the letter D from class D amplifier doesn't stand for 'digital' it's just a class of amplifier like say, class 1, class 2, etc.
