You won’t believe how this nail works. This is a tetra grip siding nail from Paslode! Made for siding applications when you are installing direct to sheathing with no studs directly behind nail. It goes in like a screw which does minimal damage to the wood fibers around it and has amazing holding power. Typically used with paslode’s Tetra Grip pneumatic siding nailer.

Just pulled about 40 of those spinning nails out yesterday. One nail held my entire body weight off the ground trying to pull it out from over head. Pretty strong nails indeed.

I wouldn't trust that nail at all because he seemed a little screwy.

Larry Haun could drive a 30 penny nail into an old oak beam with a tack hammer at night during an earthquake with fewer strokes. Two actually, one to set it and one to finish.

Y'know, I actually do believe that nail.

The nail seems like a stand-up guy. I think I'll believe him until he betrays my confidence.

We used to use these nails 35 years ago for decking, before screws

Everything looks like a nail when you're the hammer.

I do believe the nail. This particular nail previously presented the weather and was always very accurate

It looks like you just discovered these nails that have been about much longer than you’ve been swinging a hammer by the looks of it😂

Forget about the nail, it’s amazing how the mark moves around the head of the nail trying to move away from the hammer! 😂😅

Those have been around for over 100 years… I’ve pulled old barns apart built with twisted square nails…

In the UK they're called square twists and they're a requirement for joist hangers in timber.

If you've ever dismantled a pallet you know exactly how stubborn these bastards are.

We call them twist nails here in the UK. Use them for fixing joist hangers.

Wow. That nail performed well with such a novice hammer user.

You r right, i can't believe it's a nail. I didn't know if you put a blue mark on them that they went in deeper. Thank you soo much !
