Hi Sean, I was wondering if you could ask Pat if he remembers the close number of the flat in Langside Avenue where he was caught, please?
Iwas always of the understanding it was directly opposite the library and just wanted to confirm this.
I remember it well as a kid, I lived round the corner from where he was caught. The whole neighbourhood was gutted when we heard the news. Govanhill has always had a large Irish community which sympathised with the Republican struggle in Ireland.

If Thatcher wasnt Prime Minister the ceasefires and all-party talks would have occurred 10 years earlier. I was only born in 82 so maybe im talking rubbish but to this day, hearing her voice is enough to make you feel anger. The entire 80s seems wasted because of that woman's refusal to respect us. She sided with unionism the whole time.
