Amen. I love your opening statement. I am completely over-emotionally political, but cannot appreciate your message enough. My boy came home from school, when he was about 17yrs old, telling me about Thomas Sowell. My teenage son has introduced me this man & I am still floored that I hadn’t heard of him before then. My son still sends me quotes & posts from Thomas Sowell. I could not be more proud of my boy (he will always be My Boy-no matter how old he gets) for finding such an honest & intelligent person to look up to. Thomas is 92 years old. He rarely gives interviews. That's why he mostly interviews with the Hoover Institute. If you're really interested in him, he has a ton of videos on his channel and elsewhere. He's a student of Milton Friedman, Free to Choose, an economist that's fantastic to watch, he's now deceased. In fact, his Free to Choose channel runs his multi-part documentary from the 80s, I think it's 13 parts, and a very young Thomas Sowell showcases in several episodes. Milton is long gone, but that show, filmed in the 80s is not only amazing, but sad, because everything that Friedman discusses then STILL happens today. Mean ZERO progress has been made all these years. I'd tell you to watch the 13 episode serious off-channel because it's really amazing to hear.

I read Thomas Sowell's book "The Vision of the Anointed" when I was a young soldier - and it literally re-shaped my entire perception about the politics and history of Western Civilization as a whole It was mind-blowing then and it's just as valid today.
