As a gift-giver, i may feel some type if satisfaction giving a gift that produced a positive reaction but that satisfaction itsnt for me necessarily, like” ugh, I did a good job picking out that gift”, its more like “ugh, im so glad they appreciated the gift”. I feel like intention can be seen and felt without it being explicitly said. Maybe Vince is surrounded by people with the wrong intent and it ruined gifts for him. But im only speculating, i dont know his life
