The professor in this and the scene with him, Susan and Peter is way better than the Disney version. WAY better

Margaret Kellerman's White Witch is a little over the top here, but it's a miniseries based on kids' books. I think she plays it just right here. Movies today, especially horror movies, have lost their creep and suspense value. It's all just jump scares, blood and gore. What makes this performance better in my view than the Tilda Swinton performance in the Disney version is that Kellerman plays the Witch like she's bipolar. Even while being obviously creepy as hell, she can be very soft and almost charming, but she can turn on a dime if she doesn't get exactly what she wants when she wants it. It adds a further element of danger to the character, because you know that if she's smiling and offering Turkish Delight, one wrong move and she's screaming at you and waving her wand to turn you to stone. As a kid, I thought that was horrifying and this was the first adaptation of the books I'd ever seen after reading the original books.

ps i never seen this before actually. I have seen the narnia movies but narnia wasnt really apart of my childhood if that makes sense

Seriously my favorite version of narnia, love the pacing, music and atmosphere. The white witch scared me as a kid and even now she makes me feel uneasy, a great performance and exactly as she should be like the book and the cartoon versions
