Definitely sticking with my M1 Mac Mini. It’s a beast and I’ve never had a slowdown. Initially I was disappointed the HDMI does NOT scale to 3008x1692, but I’ve gotten used to 4k scaling at this point.

As I use my M1 Mac mini 16Gb Ram 512 Gb storage for mainly writing I wont be tempted but its great to see Mac putting the new model out at a great price. The change to connectivity is a real boost as well.

I am very happy with my 2020 mac mini. Coming from always using a windows machine, I still don't know how to maneuver around very much, but for simple daily tasks it satisfies my needs. I decided to jump to Mac after my Windows 10 did not have the hardware to go to Windows 11🙄😡😡. One day I hope to learn about the operating system a bit more and then I will be even more happy. Also, the fact that pages and numbers do not require a monthly fee.

I already pre-ordered my M2 Pro Mac Mini. Super stoked to have this thing set up! Worth noting that the M2 Mac Mini only supports 2 displays and the M2 Pro Mac Mini supports up to 3 displays, which for me, was one of the major factors in my decision to purchase the M2 Pro. I fully expect this machine to last the next several years as this thing has A TON of performance in it.

I had an i5 Mac mini back in 2012, and I absolutely hated that the fan would just run at max speed just by opening Chrome. I now own the M1 Mac mini, and it's far better than I ever imagined, so I'm gonna stick with it for a while. I'm very happy that Apple didn't ''kill'' the Mac mini, I was worried about that for a few years. The M1 and M2 processors are just next level, they've changed everything!

I have the base spec M1 Max MBP 14 and it more than covers my needs as a data scientist and developer. The new SOC’s are impressive technically, but I don’t think it’s a dramatic generational upgrade unless your workflows can leverage the higher memory capacity and additional GPU cores. Unfortunately, most machine learning hardware acceleration relies on having a CUDA architecture, so I end up using my gaming desktop for those jobs. I’m interested in seeing what Apple’s got in store by 2025 with the “M3” processors which should be using a 3nm manufacturing process

I’ve been waiting for the M2 Mac mini to come out and I’m planning to get the M2 Pro with the sama configuration as you. I believe that will cover my needs. Before I go out to buy mine, I will wait for your review of the one you have purchased. Here in Finland can’t get one until next week :) My MacBook Pro 2012 is slowing down with Adobe CC apps.

I’m sticking with my M1 too, particularly since I added one of the expensive OWC hubs to it and it does everything I need. If I had any need to upgrade I’d go for the pro like you are doing here. Thanks, I got complete clarity from this short video. 😊

Ordered the standard M2 with 16GB ram upgrade last night. Haven't bought a new Mac since my MacBook Pro in 2013 (i5 4gb ram). Needless to say I'm very excited.
