May 2022 I read "Sex, Gender and Society" way back when it was first publshed. I was at Macquarie University studying science. I was doomed to a life of science high school teaching. A teacher's scholarship the only way fror a little Catholic girl, third generation celtic impoverished, to get to University. The book vastly resonated with me and my interests.
I wonder where sex and gender fit now. I'm not saying anymore. Silence is mandated for survival in the social media world.
Thankyou Ann oakley.

Do agree with the view that marriage with male children lasts longer than with female children, particularly for Asian family. Although it is already 21st century, some of the cultural mindset of son is better than daughter is still entrenched deeply in our mind, passing down from one generation to another.

This is such a bizarre talk: jumping from topic to topic without really revealing anything
