9. Yes, People Are Really Planning To "Raid" It
The power of the Internet is remarkable. A Facebook event titled "Storm Area 51" quickly went viral, drawing interest from about two million people eager to uncover the secrets of the mysterious Area 51. This quirky idea spread far and wide, capturing the imagination of many, even those unfamiliar with the original event.

8. Why Is It called Area 51?
If you mention "Area 51" to almost anyone, they'll recognize it as the supposed home of aliens. However, few know why it's called Area 51. Interestingly, to uncover the real reason behind the name, one just needs to look into Nevada's history from the 1950s.

7. Before The Aliens...
Here's the thing: Area 51 has been linked with alien theories and secrecy, but it wasn't created to house aliens. It was used during World War II, with Groom Lake's runways serving as an auxiliary airfield for the U.S. Air Force. Later, in the 1950s, the CIA started their U-2 spy plane program there and tested various aircraft, including during the nuclear tests of the '50s. This all happened before the major alien incidents that later added to the site's mystique.

6. Roswell
The idea of alien life existed long before the 1900s, as evidenced by stories and paintings, some depicting flying saucers over cities. However, the concept gained widespread attention after the Roswell incident in New Mexico.

Well, it's more than likely that such nuclear tests and composition of nuclear weapons and such were continuing long after those tests in the 50's were done. This was all but proven in 1994, when a lawsuit came against the United States government as a whole.

Many people overlook that since acknowledging Area 51 in the 1990s, it's a known fact it exists. Accidental photos from Google Earth and drones, which the government has seized, also confirm its reality, despite attempts to keep it secret.
