This thing is just reversed automotive vacuum pump for brakeboosters. That sliding valve gets pretty used up by doing basically no work in clean air with oil lubrication. It will last mere hours by withstanding explosions and erosion from carbon buildup.

That 2nd 1 looked pretty cool. It looks like it might have a better chance of a runaway engine type problem and over heating. It'd be interesting to see what one looked like after years of continues driving.

Detonation means some supersonic wave leading the deflaglation?
Deflaglation to detonation is not free.
How can you get that with simple mechanical structure?

Im fairly sure that this engine would be rather inefficient because there is no compression. The design makes the chamber gain volume after air intake. Burning fuel like that would give you little power.

Вам удалось, то что я за 30 лет не смог, у меня тоже два патента на данную тему двигатели внутреннего и внешнего горения. У такой схемы есть и большой минус, центробежная сила ротора .Мой вариант отличается, тем что есть компенсатор центробежных сил. Я построил опытный образец, но добиться нужной точности не смог, больше двух ат давление поднять не получилось.

Was going to say it won't work well with no compression, and heaps of vibration and high wear problems, but there's no need, as everyone has already said the same thing.

Its eggine called 'paddle engine'. Well known concept. I saw it in newspaper from 1959.

Interesting concept but with the decrease in the area of the rotar it might not be viable to make it since outputs will be lower compared to traditional rotary engine. All the best

Без компрессора будет малая мощьность, смесь не сжимается, а наоборот.Может даже воспламенения не произойти от низкой консентрации.

0:58 Работать не будет, ибо ход на всасывание воздуха - НИ О ЧЕМ, по сравнению с объемом рабочего хода. Это просто дичайший ТРЕШ. Либо ставить супермегапупер мощную турбину нагнетатель воздуха, которая все КПД двигателя будет брать на себя ито не хватит. ))))

This isn't a new design it failed a long time ago because the apex seals overheat and wear out to fast also it was extremely inefficient because it couldn't fully burn fuel because of low compression and combustion chamber shape its pretty much the same reason Mazda rotary engines failed.
