Olympus Tutorial: 'My Clips' from Start to Finish ep.111

I did this tutorial pretty much in realtime so it's long. But you can watch over my shoulder as I take the pictures and video then create a montage video all in-camera! It's not a complete tutorial, but should be enough to get you started making your own videos.

Excellent video tutorial Rob. My oh my, there is so much our Olympus cameras have to offer. I'm barely scratching the surface of my camera's capabilities. Thanks so much for your efforts and the fine videos you create, I really appreciate them. FWIW, I've shared your YouTube link on one of the many Olympus FB pages (Olympus OM-D Education Group) in the past to spread the word of your video tutorials, hope you don't mind...

Very nice tutorial. I am traveling right now and if I wasn't stuck with serious family issues... I would have used this feature to document this journey.
Thank you very much for your time and effort.

This is an incredible unspoken up until now feature that Olympus have included and never advertised! I'm absolutely impressed at how you one, discovered it and two, are able to show how instinctual the use of it actually is. Your advice on the before you start settings is absolutley fantastic. You are my Olympus go to guy for all things about Olympus cameras! Bravo Rob. Another amazing tutorial on such an unsung amazing camera the Olympus is. Thanks for sharing your knowledge ;)

Thank you Rob for this awesome video tutorial. You responded to my post on Facebook and gave me this link. I am now subscribed and will always get your new stuff. I appreciate your generosity to share your knowledge so abundantly. I love your girl-dog. I better get started with my first movie clip.

1. Thanks so much, Rob. I struggled with the Movie Clips settings for a long time and the manual wasn't much help. The Live View ON did the trick to get me started.
2. I just received my pristine $59. reconditioned 40-150mm from the Oly outlet store. What a deal!
3. Just realized my BLS5 battery from my Stylus 1 also works in the OM-D E-M10 II. 😁

Hi Rob she's a wonderful dog, what's her name again? Never knew this clips feature existed and good to know. Love the slow mo! Unrelated to this vid and a tall "ask" I know ... infra red photography with Olympus cameras? Maybe when we get out of winter.

Hi Rob, you continue to push the envelope of creative use of this camera. Well done. What's the difference between the two movie mode options that are available for set duration clips, other than the slow/quick options? I'm referring to the first one in the list, and the one that you used with the "c". Also, is there any way to change these two options from FDH to HD? Seems to me like FHD is the only option for shooting "clips". Am I right, or have I lost the plot? :)

Thanks

Really cool stuff - can't wait to try this weekend if weather is good! Two questions (I'm sure I'll find out soon on my own): (1) When a clip is concluded, can you set the camera to bypass the brief playback/review? I might like to record another clip without any sort of delay. (2) Can individual "MyClip" video segments be also saved and edited like a normal clip, if that is desired? This is definitely neat - Thanks! Oh yes, and thank your pup for helping out.
