Affordable DIY Shuttle Bus Conversion: $17k Budget Build

Maggie and Sahil left the typical house life and self-converted a shuttle bus into a tiny home on wheels for full-time travel. They have a king-size bed, a vast pullout closet with dividers, and a comfortable dining area that converts into a spare bed. They put baskets to good use for the organization in the kitchen with a recycled wood countertop from her family's property. A swivel seat pulled from a junkyard is a creative touch they installed in the front for a passenger seat and office chair to face a mounted monitor. The total cost of this build, including six thousand for the rig, is 17k!

Fun to see a transit/shuttle bus conversion. I'm an older lady, but I used to drive one for my local city a few years ago. It's great because it's already ok to use a regular license, and drives like a car, or a moving truck. It's the best idea for this use that I've seen. I love the counter top, and that you got your king sized mattress in there. Now that's funny, but makes your life comfortable. You are right about doing it your way. It's hard to do when family etc think you're doing the wrong thing. I think it's perfect. Lots of great ideas. Thanks for showing us.

Love camping! Packing up the camper and driving into the woods is so relaxing. 3-4 day's of bliss! After that enjoyable time, it's time to pack up and go _home_ . I truly hope it works out well for you 2, but I always enjoy going *home* .

Just found this video, very nice. Thank you for sharing. You are correct in that you don’t have to go crazy ($$$$) to enjoy traveling. Most builds I see on channels are super exquisite and not very practical for long road trips. I’ve been planning on doing something very similar so I can get to rock launches in FL, TX and CA and not worry if it scrubs and to keep working at the same time.
