Hero Realms - Solo Playthrough

In Hero Realms 1-4 players use deckbuilding to gather cards strong enough to either beat the other player(s) or in the solo mode as this playthrough is, to beat the boss. Like it's earlier variant Star Realms it's best suited as a 2 player game, fast card play against eachother. But Hero Realms brings some new elements, mostly the added heros that can be bought in addition to the base game and that makes the game a lot more varied.

I know this is an old video, but for those curious, any Champions that Tibus reveals from the market actually go in front of Tibus. Guards must be attacked first and non-guards may be attacked if you would like. The non-guards don’t do anything, but if you stun them, they will be sacrificed and hopefully this will make Tibus further from his finisher. Also discard effects against Tibus let you choose a card he has revealed and sacrifice it, to yet again push him further away from his finisher.

Hello, thanks for great video, I have a question, do I need to buy a character pack to play this solo mode or is just a basic hero realms box ?

I just played my first game against Tibus and had a few questions. 1) when Tibus tries to collect the five colors, is he keeping ALL cards, or just champions (discarding actions and items)? 2) isn't Tibus supposed to leave his Champions out, especially his Guards, thus allowing you to eliminate then (so he won't get one of each color), or forcing you to attack them instead? 3) the rules say he attacks your "strongest" guard THAT HE CAN STUN but doesn't say strongest Champion THAT HE CAN STUN, just strongest Champion (which might waste his attack if it doesn't stun him/her). Should that clarified and match the guard attack rules? That's how I play it. Comments: 1) yes, Tibus starts with 40 health. 2) Tibus drawing Blue followed by Red (or even multiple blues followed by a red) is DEVASTATING, and possibly even overpowered. 3) thanks for the video!
