Math time. An 8x8x40 solid concrete structure with 18" walls, ceiling, and 4" floor requires about 60 yards of concrete + any waste. At $160 a yard that's about 10K plus 1k in iron for reinforcement and about 1k for forming (if you pour in 4' lifts). Are you saving with the container? Maybe, maybe not. Also consider that with a container you have a square box and that's the only shape you get to work with. You could do a 10' x 3' hallway into the hill and then open up and still have 290sqft to play with in a different configuration. Guess it depends on your area and what you're trying to achieve.

What?
Would also be a highly intelligent idea.Is to pick up All these windmills that they or demolishing. I built a number of them from start to finish. They would be excellent for tunnels or bomb shelters and the fiberglass blades are hollow and can be used as well.

I think the simple answer should be, 'Don't'. But if anyone would do it, you would know the how.

I have a real challenge that may very well bring you millions in business. Make a triple wide, 80' long, off grid shipping container home that uses rockwool insulation and steel and concrete flooring as well as wall and roofing reinforced. With all of the bells and whistles.
