Plum Crumble

This delicious dessert comes together in no time. This is the easiest way to enjoy plums and requires zero baking experience. Serve it with a scoop of ice cream, or on its own.

Ingredients:
plums, pruned- 2 lbs (900 g)
butter - 1/2 cup (113 g)
all purpose flour-2 cups (240 g)
golden sugar - 3/4 cup (150g)
baking powder-1 tsp
salt -1/4 tsp
cinnamon -1 tsp
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (177 C)
2. Make the filling: wash and dry the plums; remove the pits and cut each fruit into 4-6 wedges; combine the prepared plums with 1/2 cup (100g) of sugar and 2 tablespoons of corn starch.
3. Make the topping: in a separate bowl whisk together 2 cups of flour with 1/4 cup (50g.) of golden sugar,1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of salt; add melted butter and work it into the dry ingredients with your hands until the crumble begins to form, breaking down the large lumps.
4.Transfer the plum crumble filling into the baking dish, spread it evenly, and sprinkle with crumble topping. I used 11 inch (27 cm) pie dish (there is no need to grease it).
5. Place the prepared crumble/crisp onto the baking sheet to prevent overflows.
6. Bake the crumble/crisp in the preheated oven for 40 mins., or until the topping turns golden brown.
