Colombo about the confession: Do you want to read it?
Villain: I am sure I know what it says
Villain 5 weeks later: What do you mean I agreed to wear bunny ears and cotton tail everyday in jail?

a bad day when Colombo says, "Officer".

Ha...he could have been signing a confession that he tried to blow up a government building for all he knew, but he was so anxious to avoid the tender mercies of his country's judicial system that he did it without even glancing at the papers.

3:40. The way he says "You could but it would be difficult" is so natural. Very good actor.

Hector Elizondo is GOLD here. "A CONFESSION!"

I like the conflicted look on his face at the end. He's levered the power of a brutal dictator to get his murderer, _befriended_ them. That has to be a fine mixture of "neat" and _"Ew!"_

The "Embassy office" and desk was Harold Lloyd's. The estate mansion was left furnished and with most of his books and furnishings after his death in 1971. The executors couldn't get the money and Beverly Hills City's permission to preserve it all as a Museum of Film History as his will dictated. The Estate was sold for a low price afterward. In 2021, only the Mansion and a few acres are still there, and I believe the interior was modernized by subsequent owners. When Peter Falk is sitting at grand iron gates outside, those were Mr. Lloyd's gates, as was the sweeping long driveway (now gone).

My favorite part in this episode is when Columbo pulls out the confession documents that he had on him all along...LOL.

Shout out to Hector Elizondo. Absolutely superb actor. The movement is fantastic and the accent is subtle rather than corny.

The title says WORST instead of WORSE. That makes me very sad.
