Finally a Baroque music ensemble, playing Vivaldi at the most accurate way we can hear it. I was really tired of those romantic stylish orchestras with the wrong instruments like they were playing Mahler.

I am so glad my wife, an older lady introduced me to 'Classical music. She was so cultured.

This piece, overused to the point of dullness, recovers its true life! Such expressiveness, such respect for the oeuvre, such joy in the performance. As I have said many a time before regarding NBS: this is art.

I’m so glad I have this YouTube channel to use when I’m teaching students who are new to “classical music.” This is such a wonderful breath of fresh air in a world so full of stuffy, Romantic interpretations of Vivaldi. I’m glad I can show and not only tell them that early music is exciting and dynamic.

Vivaldi is the master of putting a story to music

I heard this piece many times during music class in primary school. But why does it give me a completely different impression from what I heard then? Was it ever this merry, picturesque and fresh?

Utter joy inspires me to say this: You all have some of the best interpretations of Baroque works on YouTube! So much heart and so much soul has been merged into melody, making each piece, in truth, a rarely fashioned pearl (thus is the meaning of "Baroque"). It is not only shown in the music that you all bring to life, but it is reflected within each individual. The love with which they have dedicated to preserving this great music is so filled with devotion, and that love flies beyond man-made boundaries in a Spring where every soul is in absolute Joy in the Ocean of Sound! Every time these ears hear a piece performed by the human beings that you bring together, it is filled with that same Joy that rows music across the river of the world and into the skies, where all identity is lost and what remains is oneness with these great composers whose inspirations were born from their hearts. And the love from their hearts was so much that it continues to penetrate the world until eternity. They, in truth, allowed themselves to be the instruments of the One who Created of Music. And, now, here a humble group in the Netherlands is, being instruments of the instrument! Thus is music and its power.
From this filled heart of mine, I wish you all to grow in this homage toward Bach and music itself! May it be completed, and may music forever reign before you all!

This piece has become the favorite phone "hold" music for companies in the US. It's nice to hear it without interruption and in a superior performance.

Hermosa interpretación!...de una calidad extraordinaria. El solista se inspira y saca lo mejor de sí. Los diez minutos que dura el video me han cautivado totalmente. Saludos desde Santiago de Chile,

YES! This is how it is supposed to sound like. Now you can actually hear all the things that Vivaldi wrote in his sonnets. It's bad enough that nobody recites those anymore, but in modern performances even the sounds get lost sometimes. Just read this before you listen to the piece and you'll hear what is going on:
Allegro
Springtime is upon us.
The birds celebrate her return with festive song,
and murmuring streams are
softly caressed by the breezes.
Thunderstorms, those heralds of Spring, roar,
casting their dark mantle over heaven,
Then they die away to silence,
and the birds take up their charming songs once more.

Largo
On the flower-strewn meadow, with leafy branches
rustling overhead, the goat-herd sleeps,
his faithful dog beside him.

Allegro
Led by the festive sound of rustic bagpipes,
nymphs and shepherds lightly dance
beneath the brilliant canopy of spring.

those birds 0:47, that kind of playfulness and relaxed posture.

Una verdadera delicia cerrar los ojos y soñar según se hace sentir cada uno de los instrumentos en solitario o al unísono. Maravillosa interpretación de la orquesta con esta delicada y bella versión. Mil gracias por compartir tan especiales momentos. ¡FELICITACIONES!🌝⚘
