BOUNCY & GLITCHY Otis Series 1 MOD Traction Elevators at Maritime Beach Club, N. Myrtle Beach, SC

Filmed in March 2019.
These are quite the interesting set of elevators.... These elevators were originally installed likely in the 70s (assuming that is when this place was built) with Otis Lexan, but got a really strange Series 1 mod.... Series 1 Mods are VERY RARE to begin with, however, just like the Breakers Palmetto Building, this is a TRACTION using the Version of the Series 1 panel you'd typically see on a Hydro, and even though this is a Newer Series 1 and is likely from the Early 2000s judging by the keyswitches, fire service and brailles, it has OLDER Style Series 1 Call Stations with no screws in them!!!!
As for the way these elevators run, not good... They have EXTREMELY BOUNCY leveling, The Doors are SUPER GLITCHY with the Door Disease and will attempt to close a few times until it finally shuts, and the indicator glitches for some reason when you're on 9. Also, only 1 elevator was running when this was taken, the other appeared to be broken... Also, it looks as if this place went cheap when modding as the door equipment seems to be original, but as you can tell, it's in pretty rough shape. It's pretty clear this place doesn't maintain it's elevators well at all, which is quite unfortunate as these are quite some unique elevators, but either way, this is still a cool find, the problems of course make the video more entertaining, and hopefully these get fixed and not modded again.
