Do you think it was fair for this creator to not be paid the $2000? Or do you think Honkai is in the wrong?

I will say, even if Parrot reached out to them, Honkai should’ve researched them. They have a responsibility to look over a few of Parrots videos, and choose whether they still are okay with sponsoring them. Obviously, Parrot should’ve also tried to be more appropriate in the video, but Honkai still needed to do BASIC RESEARCH on them and the content they have in their videos.

Racism towards asian has been so normalized that when someone making racist asian joke, they claim it as "dank memes"

HSR is also owned by a company based in china. Yet he wonders why they decided to remove him from the partner program with him.

At the end of the day, it seems parrot broke some parts of either hyv’s tos or the other company’s, and that’s why they denied the payment. Hopefully they can figure it out but tbh idk what they were expecting from those kinds of memes like…. it’s not a surprise that the companies found them to be inappropriate..

it just shows that the companies dont look up who they sponsor in the first place, if they watched 1-2 videos of him they knew that he is reading 4chan and their memes
it is not parrots fault if the company fails to do their research about the cc's they want to work with

While they should’ve researched him more, he broke the tos so…

Not to be a centrist but... Both sides were in the wrong 😂. Honkai for not researching what kind of content they're plastering their brand onto. Parrot for doing what he does LMAOO. Bro probably knew that 2k wasn't going in his bank account from the start and just wanted the drama.

to be honest i really think their "dank memes" are just racist so yeah, id rescind my sponsorship too if i was a company. It's easy to think something's funny when it isn't used to dehumanize you. He can of course make whatever content he wants, but it seems silly they'd think they were getting paid at all after that. But honkai really should've done their due diligence as well.

I think the game company should have at least looking into who they sponsor a little because he is known for 4chan stuff which sometimes isn't the best (no hate to him just not my cup of tea). But he does have "dank memes" that are harmful caricatures and stereotypes of Asian people that are mainly based on Chinese cultures, from what I can tell. It started happening to vox once he quit doing livestreams for a while on youtube and did them mainly on billibilli, which is a Chinese company. So people started to make those because of the black stream that had happened. But it's not ok. Like yes, Vox did bad, but don't use harmful racist caricatures to be mad at him. His vtuber model is Japanese based. But it's not ok at all to be using racist stuff for memes in general. I hope my comment is understandable.

People tend to forget that "dark humor" only works when you're the ine who experienced the darkness part. Otherwise, they are just racist/disrespectful

I don’t know the history but them getting mad at mentioning Taiwan is dumb but everything else, I can’t blame the companies.
Although they should’ve done research on the creator they wanted to sponsor. IMO they’re both kinda at fault.

Honestly, we need to stop using the words “dank memes” in place of the words “racist jokes”

What’s weird to me is that Vox Akuma’s character isn’t even Chinese- it’s Japanese. Sure he’s a British man but from my perspective he uses it like he’s a voice actor, he isn’t pretending to be Asian.

I get that he works for a Chinese company and all but why is he the main target for all these racist memes? So odd
EDIT: My bad Nijisanji ISNT a Chinese company, it’s Japanese. All the more confusing to why there are even Chinese memes to begin with?? Racists are so out of touch with reality.

Hello, I’m not sure how sponsorships work to well even with the explanation but I do want to talk about the “memes”. What’s been happening a lot is people that don’t like Vox or nijisanji much tend to be racist towards niji’s audience. they seem to have primarily a Chinese fan base that’s why it’s very common to see people edit vox to be a Chinese caricature. It’s not out of ignorance it’s their blatant racism on display, to be honest this not the first time they are racist towards Asian people in general.

I'm bIack, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't the vox drawing a Chinese caricature that's almost equivalent to those bIack caricature drawings with the red Iips? What Iine do edgy Iosers draw for racism? Is there a boundary at aII?
Oh wait, we aII saw how the community reacted when Uki (idr his name) made "straight white man" jokes. I guess that's the Iimit to dank jokes then
