To hear a politician on a recording, flat out say the soon to be mother's health has less value is heartbreaking and disgusting to hear yet does it shock you at the same time? Land of the free (accept for a woman and her rights and health if she's pregnant. God for bid!)

The woman and her doctor sat down together and had a conversation. Based on the facts presented to her after the diagnosis, she opted that abortion was the best option. Politicians were not there in the room with her. Politicians are not doctors. Politicians are NOT licensed. Politicians should NOT be allowed to force or deny treatment. Politicians do NOT sit in the room. The doctors office is where licensed Healthcare professionals discuss treatment with their patient. THE SURVIVAL RATE FOR TRISOMY 18 IS ONLY 10% WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR!!! ANY POLITICIAN WHO DENIES THE ABORTION IS FLAT OUT EVIL! WHY MAKE AN INFANT SUFFER LIKE THAT!?!? IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE POLITICIANS WHO PROBABLY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO GOOGLE TRISOMY 18! Hell, they probably thought it was similar to Autism. They need to do their research next time, or better yet, let the doctor and patient decide the treatment plan together!

I remember when Texas woman  Amanda Zurawski talked at a hearing of the US Senate Committee on the Judiciary on the impact of the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade

 Amanda is 1 of the women who is suing the state of Texas after being denied an abortion. Amanda told senators that she received an emergency abortion only after her condition worsened and she went into septic shock 
Both of Amanda's Senators are on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. was not there when Amanda talk.

Texas Republican senator John Cornyn,  who sits on the committee, later suggested that a medical malpractice lawsuit against her doctors is the legal route Zurawski should consider.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, the top Republican on the committee, asked GOP witness, Dr. Ingrid Skop, an obstetrician-gynecologist in Texas and vice president and director of medical affairs for the anti-abortion Charlotte Lozier Institute, to weigh in on what happened to Zurawksi.

It’s like watching someone with a weekend first aid course telling a brain surgeon how to operate.

It's unacceptable what's happening right now. If I were a doctor, I would take them to Federal court to challenge their medical knowledge and confront them about their audacity to interfere with the relationship between my patients and their treatment.
