The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 75th psalm.

I will give thanks, I will give thanks,
Unto my God and King,
Whose wondrous works His Name declare,
And His praises sing!

And with whatever authority
God in His wisdom gives to me,
I will judge, yea I will judge,
With righteousness and equity.

For everything upon the earth
Dissolves into turmoil,
But I’ll stand for truth and righteousness,
Whereby order may prevail!

I told the wicked and the fool,
Their folly to forsake,
To be not stubborn as the mule,
Who will not turn his neck.

Neither to themselves exalt,
In self-deceiving pride,
For promotion comes from God alone,
Who over all things doth preside!

And unto every man his portion,
Of blessing or of wrath,
God in His wisdom distributes in measure,
Like a goblet to a guest.

Ev’ry man shall drink his portion
Of the brew that God ordains:
The righteous drink salvation,
And the wicked what remains.

Wherefore I’ll sing to God forever,
And declare His praise,
Who vindicates me with the power,
All the wicked to abase!
