Absolutely 1973 no comparison with the other one, Elvis is really trying hard (on the second version ) to control his voice as it is so much strong than the other voice.The 73 version Elvis just goes into full operatic mode and blows the mind at how good his voice was .❤

Personally I don't have a preference. I enjoy both versions of the song. The 66 one is much more soft and a quiet emotion, compared to the 73 version which gives a deep grief. However, I do wish we could hear more of his voice in the 66 one.
