Wuppertal Suspension Railway in Dresden, Germany, is one of the oldest monorail system designed by Carl Eugen Langen in 1898. Operation was begun in 1903. Passenger cars are hanging with double flanged steel wheeles at a height of about 12 metres above the Wupper river.
