“Designed to fail under extreme conditions.” So if this happened to a regular owner, Toyota would have said it worked as designed and the owner abused the vehicle. Which means they may also invalidate the warranty.

At the end of the day it was sold to a customer in the end and that's pretty disappointing

Extreme conditions failure. This is deeply concerning as TFL was not operating their truck in extreme conditions. Now imagine a solo 2024 Tacoma owner 30 miles out in 4x4 conditions and this happens. There’ll be no 20 Toyota engineers helping you. Sheldon spoke so highly that this vehicle was extensively tested to commercial standards. This sincerely shakes my confidence.
