In this episode, Jeremy Clarkson reviews the McLaren MP4-12C and doesn't understand why it's so complicated to turn the traction control off. The engineer he talked too must have been German.

Engineer probably thinking "Last time some bloke wanted to have fun in one of these, we had to call out a tow truck and an ambulance."

The story telling ability with a generous sprinkle of humour makes him the goat.

The correct answer to this being complicated is………. Most people shouldn’t turn the traction control off and hiding its de-activation in a sequence of buttons is a great safeguard against mclarens flying off wet roundabouts around the world

I loved it when the in the grand tour, they did a holy trinity face off while swapping their cars.. Clarkson got the 918 and Hammond got the P1. During a lap, Clarkson said "Im not even in the P1 anymore and its still actively trying to kill me" 😂

Jeremy Clarkson, you are probably one of the funniest guys in the history of England

Worker: Fun ??? 🧠

Jeremy: Born with the word fun already in his brain

I’ve been outside for the last 10 minutes, trying to think of what he had to ask to turn off. I think this is probably one the greatest funniest moment in television history.

I just want a car that'll actively try to kill me every chance it gets

Let's say it protects both the 'normal' drivers from pressing the wrong button and mistakenly disengaging TCS and the car company from any sort of liability in case of any accident from said rich guy pressing the wrong button.
If TCS gets turned off, it means the driver either did it on purpose or there's a fault somewhere. No more 'by accident' claims.
I'd even mention the fact that it simplifies the insurance claim process in case of an accident, but I don't know how that works or if TCS even matters in a claim like that.

“You have to push this button for ten seconds and then press these two.” Never has Clarkson sounded like such an old man lol.

Why is it so hard to turn the traction control off?
why would you want to turn the traction control off? 😂😂😂

I have a Chevy with a dedicated, labeled button for toggling traction control, and I am forever grateful. I grew up and learned to drive in a car with no ABS and no TC, and now driving in a car that has both, I'd much rather not have either. They're menaces to me trying to drive. 90% of the time it's fine, but when things get icy it's a pain in the ass trying to drive while having the car do it's own thing.

Engineer reads definition
Engineer: Oh yes. Like that time I got to use the Pythagorean theorem.
