Wasps vs. Electric Bug Zapper near Dayton. Oregon

This is my entertainment after spending the day killing yellow jackets at the farm railroad (7.5" gauge) a few miles away. These are paper nest wasps, not Yellow Jackets. Either way, they will sting multiple times if provoked. This really did "provoke" them... The honey bees in the area will breathe a bit easier after this kill-off. The ants on the ground ate well for weeks... maybe they'll STAY OUT OF MY HOUSE for a while!

ANTS on the ground were hauling the cooked carcasses away like crazy.

They are so aggressive, they get pissed off and attack what can kill them. I love it, and I hate them.

This is satisfying as hell to watch them fry. I hate things that sting unprovoked.

I can't believe that FIVE people (to date) didn't like this video. They must be yellow jacket lovers. Whatever.

My dad lowered one of these lights under our porch in the 90s. Killed the whole colony over a few hours. Smelled like burning hair. The buzz of the wasps was hypnotic, they would surround the light and attack it one or more at a time. I have continued to advertise this as the safest and best method for wasp removal.

Nice Work! nothing gives me more satisfaction to watch those things try to take on an electric zapper. After 3 attacks by yellow jackets I decided to build my own larger bug zapping cage and it works very well. Soon I shall test it near one of there nests and then sit back and watch the fireworks =D nice video

Just had a 50+ swarm of reddish brown wasps all on one side of my house. Probably looking to get in before the weather turns. Going to have to get myself one of these.

Where near Dayton? I lived there 6 years ago and am now back in good ol' Sheridan Oregon.

If I may make a humble suggestion for the future, if you can disable the light then it may be a good idea to do so. Apparently there have been accounts where zappers have caused the remainder of the nest to decide that electric lights are threats.
