This is why air bnb has become awful to use and why the housing market is fucked. This behaviour is causing working families to be priced out of areas they have lived in for generations. This "loophole" is allowing for what is essentially criminal activity to take place by using residential property as a hotel / holiday rental by adding to air bnb instead of following the required legal regulations which this would normally involve.
