Just make sure to mark the lid position before you remove it. The pin that pierces the top is offset, so if you just put the lid back on without having the hole in the same place, you’ll just leak constantly out of the small hole that it pierced previously.

I’ve been doing that for 13 years. I like to refill them with the cleaning formula vinegar or Totally Awesome cleaner. If more people did this, that’s a lot less plastic in the trash. 👍😄

If you're going to do that you can actually buy a bottle for the swiffer with a removable cap so you can fill it with your own solution. Just be careful since using other things can potentially clog the jets or ruin the motor.

you can use a fuzzy sock for your wet jet so that you don't have to buy pads for the wet jet either.. money saved all around..

did you try channel lock plyers?? there is nothing that plastic won't come loose. You can crack that lid with them. I will try on mine when it is empty. What mr clean product and what was the mix ratio to water?? thanks.

Or cut a amall hole in bottom to fit a cork and usea funnel to refill

Actually that’s a great idea, mine has been sitting in a corner since I found out the solution it highly poisonous to pets. If I can just put something different in it finally, that’s awesome.
