Shelby is practically the main antagonist of the film. And she wins in the end. She locks up her shitty boyfriend for life because she was majorly insecure about herself and wanted another persons body. It’s extremely chaotic.

The thing that bothers me is at the end, when Cyrus asks Shelby to prove it's her, she doesn't do the eyebrow flick. Why would they set that up if there was no payoff for it?

Shellby and Dennis are both terrible characters. Beatrice is a psychopath don’t get me wrong but Shelby is full of herself a attention seeker, manipulative and envious are awful traits

Here's the brilliance of the writer(s) of this movie:
The subtlety of Dennis' racism and long-term effects of the body swapping.
Early on, Dennis jokes about saying the N-word in Reuben's body.
Near the end when he was in Cyrus' body..he was vehemently against swapping into Reuben's body permanently (since his body was destroyed).
He had bad feelings toward Cyrus..but would rather stay in his body than Reuben's.
Notice Reuben was taller..bigger..probably casted as a character considered more attractive.
I even believe the fact that Reuben wasn't all Black (he's obviously mixed), was a detail to further showcase Dennis' objection to living in a body of a Black man..even if it's not a full racially Black man.
The long-term effects of the body swapping, was shown at the end, when Floyd travelled to the wedding/crime scene.
His sister was the nutty one with anger issues..yet now Floyd, stuck in his sister's body for a long time, is having non-stop bursts of anger toward people. Even rocking a Black eye to suggest rage-filled confrontations that we didn't even see. It's because Floyd has taken on the traits of whatever chemical imbalance the brain that now operates his new vessel, expresses.
Those subtle undertones were brilliant.

in the movie shelby and cyrus had been dating for almost a decade. For cyrus to choose Nikki over his actual girlfriend is his fault. She did give him the option to choose her or “Nikki”. He showed his true feelings, all of this after a decade.
