what happens is that you do more damage with jitter click, but if you hit with cooldown you will have more reach

i personally dont like the combat in the combat snapshots, the reach idea is cool and all but it just feels impossible to actually hit someone unless they have the aim of a monkey with muscle dystrophy

This was intentional they added spam clicking back, also they added 0.5 more reach on the tridents and lower reach on the axe so the meta is a sword or axe and a trident in offhand the trident acts like a bow while the sword and axe acts as the main weapon and now axe is the least popular weapon cuz of the smaller reach(it still does the highest damage). But personally its more of a 1.18 combat update than a 1.8 update while they did bring some aspects of 1.8 they still focused on 1.18 combat system

It's java pvp + bedrock pvp basicly on bedrock we have complex combo styles such as chaining swerling etc it's not broken it's more of More Combo styles if anything.

Explainantion why this method "works" but is flawed and easily defeatabme:
Combat test increased attack speed of sowrds to 3 and added a miss cooldown of 0.2 second. So thats why the sword attack speed is faster. But you can't hit when you are in a cooldown. So you would achieve the same effect if you timed your hits.
Therefore CPS doesn't matter. Even if iusehuzuni butterflied to 30 cps, it wouldn't change anything. You would get the same effect by doing something called "holding down left click".
Lastly, this method lowers your reach to the base reach. You won't get that sweet 200% cooldown sweet 1+ reach bonus for timing your hits just a little bit. Therefore this actually disadvantages you. Anyone that will abuse trident and/or chargehits will easily combo you to oblivion.
Lastly, this method requires a really high ping to pull off due to aforementioned reasons. This is why this method is heavily flawed and that I could easily beat that lol

It only works because of your ping btw. Someone who uses chargehits would still defeat you.

The main reason I like the idea for 1.19 pvp is that it is like 1.8 without the need to spam click as much, which is hard to do on trackpad

i miss the old times when just clicking twice in pvp battles was something... now it's just depressing to having to learn to jitter click to pvp in any server

Yes spam clicking is very possible but I have talked to some pros like Axelotl Latwe ect and they say yes spam clicking is possible but not liable as it reduces your range sense range is now a big factor it’s not better to spam click as range beats hps/dps

The sorta of turned the function of a sword in a katana from most modpacks, which means faster attack speed but very low knockback
