I feel like you have been watching me play and each video is aimed just at me! Thank you. I do like the part of the video when you show what NOT to do as you make it look easy to do it correctly and it helps to see a bad version.

Your instruction makes sense and is as easy to attempt as any that I see online.
Thanks.

Once we get that feeling of the trail shoulder coming down, and being able to have the clubhead to hit a spot just a lil bit ahead (about an inch) of where the back edge of the ball would be, you'll be making more solid compression and becoming more consistant. Thx for this drill Russ!! 👍

Hi Russel. Most of the amateurs and recreational golfers failed execute a proper and consistent club face contact, leading to lots of speculations of not having a good stance, position, upwsing, shoulder movement, hand release, outside in swing and etc. Can you please share a thorough analogy about hand / wrist pre, centre, and post club face ball contact subsequent to the arm x factor? Timing wise. Thanks.

Once the left hand goes on the club it’s hard to get a sense of which arms are involved. Which arm is passive, and when. One of the problems with dynamic movements (I was a bboy for 15 years) is that a professional golfer has already gone through an evolution of “feels” throughout their career. This is challenging since certain basic movements were already solidified years ago for them but not for an amateur.

Part of the problem is physical. Separation between upper and lower body places stress on the lumbar region. Anyone with disc issues will struggle with this movement pattern. If the golfer attempts to rotate the lower body while keeping the upper body more closed, the body subconsciously stops this from happening to protect the spine. This is part of why the over the top move is so common.

If your hips are fast your arms must be faster.
