As an owner of the 5th gen 2011 4runner, I'm actually happy to see it is still 5th gen in 2023. It makes me think that I made a great decision in 2011 which is still lasting for over a decade.

Great truck, but in this day and age why is it so difficult for Toyota to improve the MPG. It's ridiculous.

PLEASE…… don’t make any frame, suspension nor engine changes to it. This is as good as it can get.
We love it just as is.
Perhaps the only two changes are
LED head lights and auto tailgate
That’s all
This truck is already PERFECT!

I had the option to snag this but went with the GX instead. Broke my heart cause I love the 4Runner and always wanted a orange one. Still might get one later this year if interest rates come back down. Average was over 8 percent APR. Maybe after the midterms we will have a chance

There are actually two grab handles for the driver. They are integrated into the steering wheel.

I've got 100 miles on mine. so far I love it. they are working on the fact of the steering wheel being off straight, but that is a lot of toys as of late. I love everything else so far. just what I wanted from a factory. as for the 5 speed vs the 6speed in say the tacoma, the milage isn't that different. because the tacoma has to downshift so much to take hills, the "ai" thinks you are just hammering it every time.
