Indian government thinks cars are just for travelling point A to B.But there is also some emotional value attached to the cars. No modifications allowed, can't keep older cars inspite of their absolutely fine condition.
Registration should be extended until the car meets the fitness conditions.
Like as in the US where people still drive 70's or 80's model

Scrap policy needs to be scrapped.. it should not be a time based thing.. it should be based on the fitness of the vehicle.. If a car is fit to run on roads for 40 years then let it be on roads..

Govt ko pehle 70s--80s ke Tanks, aircraft scrap krna chahiye, Non commercial vehicles 10-15 saal me kharab nahi hote. Uske fitness ke according uski limit hona chaiye. New Scrap policy kewal company ko fayda pahuchane ke liye banaya hai, 60k ki bike gst laga ke 1lak ki wo bhi kabad 3-4 saal me hi khrab ho ja rahi hai.

Government ko tb to public transport pr bhi ye rule lagana chahiye na aur over loding bhi sabse jyada unhi me hoti hai, time pr servicing bhi nhi hoti aur sabse jyada pollution bhi wahi karti hai, private vechile to fir bhi log bahut sahi se rakhte hai, delhi me jo buses chal rhi hai unka haal dekha hai kabhi, jagah nhi hoti khade hone ki bhi aur kitni unfit hoti hai ki roj ek hi route me 10 bus to kharab hoti dikh hi jati hai

It’s not about money always. Old car which you have kept for over 15 years is just like a part of your life. People feel bad to even sell them . Scraping them is like killing them .
