Hope you have many great years with your tractor. I have owned a Mahindra 3550 PST for 5 years and absolutely love it. The tractor is very heavy and well built. It will lift more than the green and orange competitors in its class, also was $13k less in price. I would definitely buy another one.

I bought a 2015 low hour repo 4530 for less than the cost of a compact. It weighs around 6000 pounds and the loader lifts 3500 pounds. 4 wheel drive, diff lock, synchro shuttle. Works well with a 6 foot brush hog. Have forks, grapple, bucket, and tiller. Have not needed any parts other than filters and O rings. It meets Tier 4 emissions without DEF or a DPF.

I went through about the same thing you did looking at tractors and also settled on a Mahindra. I bought their newer version a 2126 HST (2100 series). Zero down and zero interest over 84 months was the thing that settled it for me. Also the dealer only a few miles away and very friendly with a good reputation. It has more lifting capacity on the loader and 3 point hitch than any other tractor in its class.I’ve only got a few hours on it so far. I’ve been using a restored 1961 Ford diesel 801 series. What a change going to this Mahindra with HST and power steering and 4 wheel drive. I’m 78 and have 22 acres for the last 5 years. Probably won’t put that much wear on it considering my age, lol.😂! I also put a hook on the top of the loader almost before doing anything else.

Thanks for your review. I agree 100%.

I like my Mahindra 1626. Two years old 300 hours. Lots of logging, brush hog and bahia hay field work. This little tractor punches way above its weight class. I don't ballast weight as I leave the brush hog or back ho attached.

My only problems: Feral hogs are so bad that the ruts shake my tractor metal work into bent. Needed a bit beefier sheet metal and hinges. My differential lock gets stuck. I think it is stuck right now in fact. It wasn't optimized for mesquite / cedar thickets, and I broke off the turn signals, level rod and other sundries.

My recommendation to first time buyers is move the lights inside the headache rack and remove the level gage and install ONLY when needed for bucket work.

Oh... the oil stick is way in the back and painted black. Paint it yellow to find it in dusk/dawn lighting.

I have the Mahindra 1626 and has about 150 Hours. It has hydrostatic and love it .
Done some mods. Welded a 3/16 angle iron across top of bucket with hooks . Added the ballast box with quick hitch. I have the 60 “ tiller, 60” field mower, landscape rake, and have made several other implements . The tractor has handled everything quite well.
Something I wished I would have done when I bought it was have rear remotes and third functions installed. Not many videos showing installation this..

I test drove the 2638. The loader was jerky and the seat to pedals room is for guys 5'8 or less. I ended up buying aTYM 2515. It weighs 3000 lbs and almost 4000 with loader and it shares the same engine block as the 4215 model. It has lots of torque and the FEL lifts 2200 lbs and the 3 point lifts over 3000 pounds.

Think you meant breakout force is 2800 lbs. Lift capacity is 1560 at the pins.

The hydrostatic has Cruze control. Set your speed and then no need keep your foot in the peddle.

I would like to see the true lift capacity and how it would handle.

Other than safety, having sufficient counterweight minimizes damage to your bevel gear seals and spindles. Kioti has excellent lift capability for a smaller tractor but I’ve seen many with leaking bevel cases and cracked spindles. Good tractors but offset some of that weight.
