Are you planning to travel to the U.K. from January 8, 2025 onwards, you need to know the new regulations for gaining access to Britain, otherwise the UK border will be closed to you. New requirements you have to have to obtain entry to England, even if you are in transit at the airport or have one stop on a cruise ship.

Canada had had something similar for years for visitors, so the UK getting on board to raise revenue from visitors as opposed to just the citizenry seems in line with most countries looking for additional revenue sources. Super easy to do this all online and they’ve talked about this for years so most travellers have known this was coming for a while now. Most overseas cruise stops require additional visa/ETA type for certain nationalities like ours to South America or in many places in Asia and the Middle East.
