Another way to think of the augmented scale is a six-note scale made up of two augmented chords that are a minor third apart. You can take this a step further by adding the next augmented triad a minor third above that, which in total leads you to the nonatonic or double-augmented scale

Love that you include exercises. I've been working alot with the hexatonic scale recently.
I practice by moving a major 7(omit 5) voicing up a (hexatonic scale) degree.
It switches between minor and maj7 but sounds amazing when you start the left hand at a different part of the scale, or have it play an entirely diff hexatonic scale.

I'm just wondering, with the augmented ascending cycle you've decided that it is augmented triads rising in 4th intervals. Is this an arbitrary decision over rising in 5ths? I.e. C E G#, G B D#, D F# A# and so on? Loved the following exercise by the way. Sounds amazing
