I’m guessing a lot of people coming to this have alopecia.. I have it too. Most of my hair on the sides is gone, with only a little up top. It definitely sucks, and I obviously wish I had more hair, but I’m not making it who I am. If anything, it makes me unique, and when you really think about it, you would never get denied anything because you look. Those still in school, (like me), try to embrace it. Those who make fun of you for it, (if they exist), God knows how bad they’re mental health is compared to yours. All I’m saying is, don’t make your hair who you are. I know this is cliché, but focus who you are on the inside, and not the outside.

I'll be lying if I said having alopecia didn't make my life harder and stop me from doing things I wanted to do, but I definitely didn't let it ruin my life! Thanks for making this video, Im one of the 7 million people living with alopecia, my type is called areata, ive had it since i was about 4 years old and still have it at 22, im not sure what has triggered it in my case, whilst ive never had complete hair loss, ive never had complete regrowth either even after trying treatments, im trying to deal with hair loss as best as i can by posting videos on my youtube channel about it and being open to multiple different methods of dealing with it and being grateful for the hair i still have but it hasnt been easy, one thing that has helped me the most has been joining a support group for people with alopecia on social media specifically Facebook, for anyone else going through this i know how you might feel and my thoughts are with you.

My daughter lost her hair at 15. It took us 3 years to get it back.
Again at 25 she started to loose her hair again.

Guys, it's better to start hair loss treatment sooner, if you're prone to shedding or hair loss. You need to use DHT blockers, both topical and oral, but if you're already lost too much hair, I'm afraid that hair transplant might be the only solution. Also, avoid stress at any cost.

So Idk if I have it but I have had a bald spot since April 2020 when I got a haircut, my dad noticed it and now today it’s still the same size and hadn’t grown any hair yet. I’m 17 years old and I’m a senior next year and it’s just sad that I might have to go into school like this 😭 but hopefully I find something to start growing that bald spot quickly so that at least hair can be growing when I go back to school :)
