I bought one of these yesterday!!!! AMAZING guitar. From 2011, used, great sound and look, and the P-90 Very pleased with it. It is a 3 piece body, great sustain. The finish could be a bit better, but for the price it is a wonderful guitar.

Nice demo. I bought mine about a year ago from the local music shop. It has become my number one. There are so many demos of these 60s Tributes on Youtube by no talent shredding idiots who have them so distorted you can't really hear the true golden tone they offer. This video does a lot to get across the real magic of these guitars. I play blues myself and love sweet, fat clean tones and you did a great job of conveying that. Good playing. Nice licks. These guitars are incredible.

Thanks for putting up these videos. they are very educational, I would personally listen to someone like you play than hear some instructional videos. I think theory approach is just one of the many ways to learn but this is way more fun! There is a lot I for me here, dynamics, phrasing, and verall approach to improvisation. Thanks again.

This is USA built, in the same shop where they build Standards and Traditionals, with the same materials. The fact that it's cheap means just that it has a less elaborated finish. Gibson won't let you down, no matter what the price

I own this model in Honeyburst. It has become my "grab and play" guitar because of its light weight and thin neck. I own 2 x Custom shop historics and I like this guitar a lot...that says something! I can see where they cut corners....multi-piece bag, low grade Rosewood fretboard, thinner Maple cap...etc but overall a very good Les Paul. The P90s sing! I actually prefer its tone more than my '59 & '60 Custom shop. Every Les Paul fan should buy one, seriously. They are such good guitars.

All older tributes (not latter black body models) have natural binding on the sides -where the white maple cap is. If you want to make natural binding on top you can scrap the finish around edges of the guitar on top. I did it with mine (on gold top and it looks great)

I agree totaly. It is very comfortable guitar and it has very uniqe sound-goood sustain. I can say so . I own two LP standards (2006 pre chambered period and Standard trad pro which is also non-chambered) but lately I prefer to play 60 tribute. I changed p90 to LP mini HB and it is great. I love iz so much that I ordered additional tribute 60 which I plan to modify to my wish (which is not wise to do with more expensive LP standards)

@97henrik the difference are the pickups. 60's - P90; 50's - Humbuckers.

Well what I could see with my own eyes at the store is that they are thicker than a regular Studio. But anyways, it sounds, plays and feels GREAT. At least the one I tried! I'm defnetelly getting one soon!

There is NOTHING like the spread you can get out of two p90s working together

I got one from 2011, but changed the bridge pickup to a humbucker and the neck to a firebird mini humbucker.. Still one of my favourite guitars!

I kept the 50's tribute ...2009 I think before the rosewood was eliminated.Sounds and plays fine without the high price.
